Imagine tonight, you have no place to go. You've finally overstayed your welcome on your cousin's best friend's couch. The city tells you that it will take more than 3 years for your name to reach the top of the waiting list for an affordable apartment, and your job doesn't pay you anywhere near the $1200 rents are going for these days. Where do you turn?
For more than six hundred women each year, they answer that question with "Rosie's Place". Rosie's Place provides safe, dignified temporary housing for hundreds of women each year. For some women, ready to take significant steps to change their lives, Overnight serves as the bridge between housing and homelessness. Women can sign up through the front desk for a bed when they become available, and then work with our advocates throughout the duration of her stay.
While some guests remain in Overnight during the daytime hours, most are involved with work, school, training, the medical community or other resources. Overnight is staffed 24 hours each day, every day of the week, so guests always have someone to help them with the myriad of issues that confront poor and homeless women.
